In the unforgiving waters off the southern coast of Yemen, tragedy has struck. The Barbados-flagged cargo vessel, True Confidence, fell victim to a Houthi missile attack, resulting in the loss of three crew members—the first casualties caused by the group's assaults on merchant ships. This incident, occurring in the Gulf of Aden, underscores the urgent need for heightened vigilance and coordinated efforts to ensure maritime security in the region.



The True Confidence, abandoned and engulfed in flames following the strike, serves as a somber reminder of the perils faced by seafarers navigating through these turbulent waters. Despite the presence of a US-led naval taskforce dedicated to intercepting and neutralizing threats, the relentless barrage of Houthi attacks poses a formidable challenge to the safety of maritime traffic.

MEG 4 was published in 2018, and it contains a number of important requirements that most of us are still unaware of. Specifically, SDMBL, LDBF, TDBF, and WLL.
